Fortitude’s accounting practice is growing, and we’re looking for a detail-focused Payroll & Bookkeeping Specialist to support our SME and contractor client base.
About the role:
You’ll manage day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll processing, BAS preparation, and financial reporting across a portfolio of clients. The role is fully remote with flexible hours — ideal for someone looking for part-time work with serious responsibility.
What you’ll do:
• Process payroll (weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles) for multiple clients
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records across Xero and MYOB
• Prepare BAS, IAS, and superannuation submissions
• Reconcile accounts and prepare monthly financial reports
• Liaise directly with client contacts on queries and requirements
What we’re looking for:
• Three+ years’ bookkeeping and payroll experience
• Strong proficiency in Xero and MYOB
• Up-to-date knowledge of Australian payroll, super, and BAS requirements
• Cert IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting (or equivalent experience) • Available 20–25 hours per week
