We’re placing an IT Support Officer with a federal government client in Canberra on a six-month initial contract, with strong potential to extend.
About the role:
You’ll provide Level 1 and Level 2 support to a team of around 200 staff. This is an on-site role within a secure government environment, working alongside an established IT team.
What you’ll do:
• Respond to tickets via ServiceNow and resolve issues within agreed SLAs
• Provide hardware support — laptops, peripherals, mobile devices, video conferencing
• Troubleshoot Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and standard enterprise applications
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and security group memberships in Active Directory
• Document resolutions and contribute to the internal knowledge base
What we’re looking for:
• Two+ years’ IT support experience in a corporate or government environment
• Solid Windows, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory knowledge
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
• Australian citizenship and ability to hold a Baseline security clearance • Strong communication and customer service skills
